LEMON CHIFFON PIE with (MERINGUE)
1/2 CUP FLOUR<>1 CUP SUGAR<>1 1/2 CUPS BOILING WATER<>2 EGGS<>GRATED RIND of 1 LEMON<.1 TABLESPOON BUTTER<>3 TABLESPOONS LEMON JUICE<>4 TABLESPOONS POWDERED SUGAR<>COOKED PASTRY SHELL.<><>(MIX THE FLOUR AND SUGAR, ADD THE BOILING WATER SLOWLY, AND BOIL 5 MINUTES, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY.<>(BEAT THE YOLKS OF THE EGGS AND ADD TO THEM THE COOKED MIXTURE).<>RETURN TO THE BOILER AND ADD BUTTER., LEMON JUICE AND RIND AND COOK UNTIL MIXTURE THICKENS.<>(COOL AND FILL THE BAKED PASTRY SHELL) THEN COVER WITH (MERINGUE) MADE BY BEATING THE (EGG WHITES of the EGGS and adding the POWDERED SUGAR) THEN PUT PIE IN OVEN and (BROWN MERINGUE in MODERATE OVEN).<>325 degree F,<>PREPARATION time 15 minutes. yumMMMY, soOOH SWEET,&TANGY!!!!!!!
