CLEANED AND PICKED OVER FRESH (4 CUPS BLACKBERRIES)<>2 CUPS BRANDY<>JUICE 1 LEMON<>GRAYED PEEL OF 1 LEMON<>2 CUPS SUGAR<>1 CUP WATER<>PLACE BLACKBERRIES IN LARGE CLEAR GLASS JAR OR CROCK<>CRUSH SLIGHTLY TO RELEASE JUICES<>POUR BRANDY OVER BERRIES WITH LEMON PEEL.<>SEAL ALLOW TO STEEP 3 MONTHS<>WHEN READY TO FINISH BRANDY (SIMMER SUGAR< WATER< LEMON< LEAVING JUICE IN SAUCEPAN UNTIL CLEAR,) ALLOW TO COOL<>POUR BLACKBERRY BRANDY THROUGH STRAINER INTO LARGE JUG AND ADD TO SUGAR SYRUP TO TASTE.<><>( THEN POUR INTO 1-2 SMALL (DECANTERS) SEAL&LABEL( DATE<YEAR) IMPROVES WITH AGE!!
