NOODLE KUGEL (SIMPLY NOODLE PUDDING) TOBY'S RECIPE



NOODLE KUGEL (is simply noodle pudding) It doesn't have to be sweet but it usually is.) SWEET KUGEL is served as an accompaniment to a (MAIN DISH or as a DESSERT) INGREDIENTS<>1 lb./450g.BROAD EGG NOODLES, cooked, drained, and still HOT<>(1/2 cup/4oz/125g. BUTTER, cut into small PIECES)<><>4 EGGS, BEATEN, <>8 TBSP. SUGAR<>4 TBSP RAISINS<><>1 JAR (8oz./225g) APPLE SAUCE<>1 CAN ( 1lb./500g) CRUSHED PINEAPPLE, DRAINED<>I JAR (10 oz./300g.)APRICOT PRESERVES<><>PREHEAT OVEN TO (350degreesF/175degreesC/GAS mark 4.<><>TOSS (HOT NOODLES with BUTTER to COAT) <>COMBINE NEXT 5 ingredients and BEAT until well MIXED)<><>ADD to NOODLES and TOSS GENTLY<><>(SPOON INTO GREASED CASSEROLE and SMOOTH TOP) <>SPREAD (PRESERVES over NOODLES) and BAKE for about 45 MINUTES or until TOP is BROWNED. (SERVE HOT) on advantage to a KUGEL is it can be made ahead of time and baked prior to serving.  (SERVES 6-8)   IT is DELICIOUS!!
