MAPLE FLAVORED BAKED BEANS



5 LBS. SOLDIER BEANS<>2 lbs. LIGHT BROWN SUGAR<>1 lb. LEAN SALT PORK<>2 ONIONS<>1 TBSP SALT<>3 TBSP.  PREPARED MUSTARD<>3 TBSP. WORCESTERSHIRE<><>SOAK BEANS overnight.<>(BRING BEANS to BOIL and continue boiling until (SKIN can be blown back)ADD 1 t. BAKING SODA and continue boiling for a few more minutes<>(BE CAREFUL they don't boil over)<>DRAIN BEANS in COLANDER<>PLACE QUARTERED ONIONS in BOTTOM of LARGE BEAN POT, (THEN ADD BEANS)<>CUT (SALT PORK into sections and put on TOP)<>MAKE a MIXTURE OF (BROWN SUGAR, <>WATER,<>MUSTARD<<>and SALT) and WORCESTERSHIRE)<>WHEN BLENDED ADD TO BEANS)<>ADD ADDITIONAL (WATER TO JUST COVER BEANS)<>PLACE COVER ON BEAN POT and OVEN 350-375 .<>TO BE REALLY GOOD they can't be rushed and require (APPROXIMATELY 8 HOURS.<>IT IS NECESSARY TO CHECK and ADD WATER as NEEDED SO BEANS DON'T DRY OUT!!  DELICIOUS!! <><>once cooled, extra beans can be frozen for later use!!!!      MAPLE BAKED BEANS  the  BEST!!!!
