BOURBON BALLS (for HOLIDAY PARTY)



1 CUP FINELY CRUSHED VANILLA WAFERS (ABOUT 22 WAFERS)<>1 CUP SIFTED POWDERED SUGAR<>2/3 CUP CHOPPED WALNUTS<>1/4 CUP CHOPPED CANDIED CHERRIES<>2 TABLESPOONS UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER<>3 TABLESPOONS BOURBON<>1 TABLESPOON WATER<>1 1/2 TEASPOONS LIGHT CORN SYRUP<>SIFTED POWDERED SUGAR<><>IN A MEDIUM MIXING BOWL COMBINE CRUSHED VANILLA WAFERS,<>POWDERED SUGAR,<>WALNUTS<>CANDIED CHERRIES<>and COCOA POWDER<><>STIR IN BOURBON ,WATER,AND LIGHT CORN SYRUP TILL WELL COMBINED.<>CHILL THE MIXTURE ABOUT 30 MINUTES<><>SHAPE THE MIXTURE INTO 1 inch-BALLS.<>PLACE BALLS in an airtight container and let stand (RIPEN) for 2-3 DAYS.<>BEFORE serving the BALLS , ROLL THEM IN additional powdered sugar.<>MAKES ABOUT 24 PIECES!!!!!!!  DELICIOUS, TREAT!!!!
