I know my Aunt Julia and my Mom made it.<><>3 CUPS of favorite (WHITE SAUCE)<>1 large can of (RED or PINK SALMON,) spine ,bones and skin removed and BROKEN into LARGE CHUNKS<>10 oz. BAG (FROZEN PEAS)<>MILK for thining if needed<>SALT&PEPPER<>SALTINE CRACKERS, TOAST, or MASHED POTATOES<> <>MAKE a (THICK WHITE SAUCE) according to your favorite recipe<>CLEAN and BREAK up SALMON<>(ADD PEAS to WHITE SAUCE) and COOK until WARMED<>(ADD SALMON CHUNKS, WARM), SALT&PEPPER to TASTE<>THIN SAUCE IF NECESSARY.<>SERVE on (TOAST or CRACKERS or MASHED POTATOES)!!! (SOME PEOPLE CALL THIS "poor man's gravy") it is a family favorite!! (IT IS FILLING)!!!
