MINCE MEAT for PIES (USING VENISON) my DAD''S favorite!





2 CUPS CHOPPED MEAT, (VENISON deer meat) or BEEF)<>5 CUPS CHOPPED APPLES<>1 CUP MOLASSES<>3 CUPS MAPLE SUGAR (packed well into cup)1 CUP CIDER<>1 CUP VINEGAR<>1 CUP WATER<>1 CUP OF LIQUID IN WHICH meat has been BOILED<>3 CUPS CHOPPED RAISINS<>1/2 CUP (SUET) CHOPPED<>2 TEASPOONS CINNAMON<>2 TEASPOONS CLOVES<>1 TEASPOON ALLSPICE<>1 TEASPOON NUTMEG<>3 TEASPOONS SALT<><>COOK SEVERAL HOURS SLOWLY and PACK INTO STERILIZED JARS<><>(ONE PINT OF THE VENISON MINCE MEAT makes one PIE)<><>MINCE PIES are made with TWO CRUSTS!! <><<><>THIS IS AN OLD RECIPE!  My Dad loved venison pie with a slice of Blue Sage Cheese!!!!!!!
