APPLE WHEAT BREAD (The chances ae the woods are full of TREES LADEN with RIPE APPLES just ripe for picking)







APPLE WHEAT BREAD made from fresh picked APPLES<><>1/2 CUP BUTTER<>1 1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR firmly packed<>2 EGGS<>2 CUPS UNBLEACHED, all purpose FLOUR<>2 TBS. BAKING POWDER<>1 TSP SALT<>1 1/2 CUPS WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR<>1/2 CUP nonfat DRY MILK<>1/2 CUP ROLLED OATS<>1/2 CUP WHEAT GERM<>1 CUP CHOPPED DATES or RASINS<>1 1/2 CUPS APPLES, unpeeled, cored and chopped<>1 3/4 CUPS MILK<><>PREHEAT OVEN to 350 degrees F><>GREASE one LARGE or TWO SMALL LOAF PANS.<>MIX melted BUTTER and BROWN SUGAR together and BEAT in EGGS.<>SIFT ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR, BAKING POWDER and SALT into another BOWL, STIR IN WHOLE-WHEAT FLOUR, DRY MILK, OATS and WHEAT GERM<>THEN ADD NUTS, DATES or RAISINS and APPLES<>ADD FLOUR MIXTURE TO EGG MIXTURE about a THIRD at a TIME, ALTERNATING with MILK.<>STIR THOROUGHLY AFTER EACH ADDITION.<>BATTER will be STIFF and DIFFICULT to STIR.<>FILL a LOAF PAN with 3/4 FULL with DOUGH and BAKE for 1 HOUR and 10 minutes<>IF using muffin tins, BAKE for 45 minutes. WHEN DONE, remove from OVEN and place on wire rack to cool 10 minutes.<>REMOVE LOAF PAN and place on rack to COOL.<>(i use a cuisinart blender to mix my bread dough it's faster) <>THIS BREAD is DELICIOUS serve anytime!!!!
