FRESH APPLE CAKE (afternoon tea or a cosy dinner party) LET THEM EAT CAKE!
FRESH APPLE CAKE<>1 1/2 CUP WESSON OIL<>2 CUPS SUGAR<>3 EGGS<>3 CUP PARED, CHOPPED APPLES,( MACS' CORTLAND, GRANNY SMITH) your choice on APPLES<>3 CUPS FLOUR<>1 1/2 t. SODA<>1 t. CINNAMON<>1 t. NUTMEG<>1 t. MACE<>1 t. VANILLA<>2 CUPS CHOPPED PECANS<>1/2 t. SALT<>3/4 CUP PORT WINE<><>COMBINE OIL, SUGAR and EGGS. COMBINE DRY INGREDIENTS and ADD to EGG MIXTURE.<>ADD (APPLES) and (PECANS) and (WINE)and (VANILLA)<><>BAKE IN GREASED and FLOURED (TUBE PAN) @ 350 degreesF for 1 hour and 15 minutes!!!!! MOIST and DELICIOUS!!!
