NEW ENGLAND (BOILED DINNER)




3 1/2 POUNDS CORNED BEEF<>6 PARSNIPS<>9 CARROTS<>6 BEETS<>1 HEAD of CABBAGE<>6 POTATOES<>6 TURNIPS<><>SOAK (CORNED BEEF 15 minutes in COLD WATER) put in large POT<>POUR ON HOT WATER to COVER<>COOK 1 HOUR<>ADD (PARSNIPS and CARROTS and BEETS and TURNIPS)<>COOK 1 HOUR.<>ADD (POTATOES & CABBAGE)<>COOK 1 HOUR<>LIQUID in which it has been (COOKED in should be used as SOUP) SERVE with hot CATSUP and (FRENCH BREAD or ROLLS)  ****THIS IS A HEARTY MEAL on a CHILLY FALL DAY!!!!!
