HOLIDAY (CLASSIC COFFEE STRUDEL) ****






COFFEE STRUDEL<>1/2 lb. MARGARINE<>1/2 lb. COTTAGE CHEESE<>2 CUPS SIFTED FLOUR<>pinch SALT<>MIX DOUGH (STICKY--NEVER MIND). WRAP in WAX PAPER, refrigerate till COLD (OVERNIGHT is BEST)<>THIS DOUGH is perfect for hors-d' oeuvers- filled with ham and pickle, whatever your choice rolled up, or baked) <>CUT DOUGH into 3 PARTS after taking out of refrigerator. ROLL each out into RECTANGLE (ABOUT 12x8). SPREAD EACH PIECE WITH:::: melted MARGARINE and APRICOT ( or other) JAM generously) and GRATED COCONUT and CHOPPED WALNUTS<>then ROLL UP!!<> SLICE at an ANGLE but not all the WAY!<> BRUSH with BEATEN EGG<> THEN sprinkle with CINNAMON, SUGAR)<>BAKE on COOKIE SHEET (NEED not be GREASED) in 375 degree F OVEN for 35 MINUTES!!   soooH, WONDERFUL!!!
