BREAD& BUTTER PICKLES (GARDEN VARIETY)



12 MEDIUM (FRESH GARDEN CUCUMBERS)<>5 MEDIUM ONIONS,  SLICED<>1/4 CUP SALT<>1/2 CUP SUGAR<.1 1/2 TEASPOON MUSTARD SEEDS<>1 1/2 TEASPOON CELERY SEEDS<>1/2 TEASPOON CURRY POWDER<>1 CUP WHITE VINEGAR<>1/2 CUP WATER<><>CUT CUCUMBERS AND ONIONS INTO 1/4 INCH RINGS.(PLACE IN PAN IN LAYERS. SPRINKLE SALT OVER EACH LAYER)<>LET DRAIN FOR 2-3 HOURS><>COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS AND HEAT UNTIL BOILING.<>(ADD CUCUMBERS AND ONIONS AND SIMMER FOR 10 MINUTES><>(PACK IN HOT STERILIZED JARS AND SEAL.<>MAKES 4 PINTS.!!!
