LEMON NUT BREAD
INGREDIENTS<>6 tablespoon BUTTER or MARGARINE<>1 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR<>2 EGGS BEATEN<>1 1/2 CUPS FLOUR<>1 teaspoon BAKING POWDER<>1/2 teaspoon SALT<>1/2 CUP MILK<>GRATED RIND of 1 LEMON<>1/2 CUP WALNUTS, CHOPPED><><><>CREAM BUTTER and SUGAR; ADD BEATEN EGGS. SIFT DRY INGREDIENTS and ADD to CREAMED MIXTURE ALTERNATELY with the MILK. ADD LEMON rind AND WALNUTS. POUR BATTER INTO BUTTERED LOAF PAN. BAKE at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 5 minutes. WHEN LOAF comes out from OVEN POUR over it 1/2 CUP SUGAR dissolved in the warmed JUICE OF 1 LEMON<><><><><><><><>DELICIOUS!!
