SAUERKRAUT<> 2 CLOVES GARLIC, CRUSHED<>1 tbs. CARAWAY SEED (moistened AND POUNDED IN A MORTAR) 1 CUP SOUR CREAM<><><><><><><>DREDGE THE PORK CUBES IN FLOUR AND BROWN IN LARD OR SOY OIL. (RESERVE THE RENDERED FAT)SAUTE THE ONIONS IN THE PORK FAT UNTIL TRANSPARENT> BLEND IN PAPRIKA, THEN TOMATO PASTE.(ADD ENOUGH CHICKEN STOCK TO MAKE A THICK STEW>(ADD SAUERKRAUT, GARLIC, CARAWAY SEEDS AND PORK CUBES>IF NECESSARY ADD MORE CHICKEN STOCK. (ALLOW TO BLEND AND COOK IN A 350 degree OVEN FOR AT LEAST 1 HOUR. ( hALF AN HOUR BEFORE SERVING, ADD SOUR CREAM MIXED WITH A LITTLE FLOUR. THIS WILL THICKEN AND FLAVOR (GULYAS). RETURN IT TO THE OVEN FOR ANOTHER 30 MINUTES. BUT DO NOT ALLOW TO BOIL.!! (SERVE WITH HOMEMADE SPAETZLE and SWEET and SOUR RED CABBAGE<>SERVES 4-6<>!!!
