MOLASSES POPCORN BALLS

3 QUART POPPED CORN, <><>2/3 CUP MOLASSES,<><> 1/1/2 CUP SUGAR,<><> 1/2 CUP WATER,<><> 1/3 tsp. VINEGAR,<><> 1/3 tsp, SALT,<><> 2 tbsp. BUTTER,<><> 2 tsp, VANILLA.<><> PICK OVER POPPED CORN, DISCARDING ALL HARD KERNELS. BOIL MOLASSES, SUGAR, WATER, VINEGAR AND SALT, WITHOUT STIRRING, TO 270 deg. OR UNTIL IT BECOMES BRITTLE WHEN TRIED IN COLD WATER. REMOVE FROM FIRE AND ADD BUTTER AND VANILLA. HAVE CORN IN A LARGE PAN, POUR THE SYRUP GRADUALLY, USING A SPOON TO MIX WELL. FORM INTO BALLS AND WRAP IN WAXED PAPER TO COOL.<><><><>IF YOU LIKE MOLASSES POPCORN YOU'LL LOVE THESE MOLASSES POPCORN BALLS!!!!!!!
