GINGERED RHUBARB APPLE CRISP (redder the rhubard tthe sweeter)



INGREDIENTS<>2 cups STRAWBERRY RHUBARB<>9the redder the RHUBARB and APPLE the SWEETER the PIE)<>3 large APPLES, peeled, cored, sliced)<>1 1/2 cup SUGAR<>1 teaspoon minced crystallized GINGER<>2 tablespoon FLOUR<><>(TOPPING)---1/2 cup FLOUR<>1/2 cup BROWN SUGAR<>4 tablespoon COLD BUTTER cut into chunks<>1/2 teaspoon groung ginger<>1/2 cup OATMEAL<><><>PLACE--(RHUBARB and APPLES) 1 cup SUGAR, CRYSTALLIZED GINGER and 2 tablespoons FLOUR in a large BOWL and TOSS WELL.<>TURN INTO A GREASED 9in. PIE PAN.<><>COMBINE (TOPPING INGREDIENTS in a bowl.AND MIX UNTIL CRUMBLY.<><>SPREAD CRUMB MIXTURE over (RHUBARB and APPLES and BAKE>at 350F for 45 to 50 minutes!!!UNTIL (FRUIT is tender and TOPPING is BROWNED.<><>SERVE WARM<><>MAKES 6 to 8 servings<><>you can add, VANILLA ice CREAM<>or WHIPPED CREAM if DESIRED!!!!!YUMMY!!!!
